TOKYO, Japan, May 25, 2011 - Advantest Corporation (TSE: 6857, NYSE: ATE) today announced that it has established a subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City:
Advantest Vietnam Co., Ltd. Formally incorporated as a subsidiary of Advantest (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., the new company started operations on May 2011.

Against the background of Vietnam’s flourishing semiconductor industry, demand for semiconductor test equipment-related services and support in the country is growing. While Advantest has hitherto provided support to its Vietnam customers through its subsidiary in Singapore, the new subsidiary will enable the company to respond even faster to emergency maintenance calls and other customer needs.

With the establishment of Advantest Vietnam Co., Ltd., Advantest now boasts eight facilities in the Asia region, home to the world’s greatest concentration of semiconductor manufacturing. Other locations in Asia include South Korea, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The company will continue to strive to provide its customers in the region with prompt, best-in-class support and service.
